Navy Lt. (jg) Timothy D. Bartosh, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Bartosh, Sr., of Grantor, was killed in a plane crash Wednesday afternoon about 2:30 o’clock in Virginia. Young Bartosh, who would have been 25 today, was stationed at the Navy Air Station, Oceana, Virginia. A graduate of Granger high school, he attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio before entering the U. S. Naval Academy in 1948. He graduated from the U. S Naval Academy in 1952, completed flight training and was designated a naval aviator in 1953. On June 7, 1952. Lt. Bartosh was married to Miss Angela J. Lyng of Baltimore, Md., who survives him. He is also survived by a one-year old daughter, Cathy Ann, his parents, and one brother, Lt James Edward Bartosh.
Timothy graduated as Granger High School’s salutatorian in 1945.
He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
