Loss
Allen – he went by his middle name – was lost on April 29, 1965 when the YC-2A Greyhound he was testing crashed in the Atlantic Ocean. He was assigned to Naval Air Station Patuxent River.

Thomas went by his middle name Allen, and he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1951. “Eadesal” Vice-President of the Dallas Historical Society; Good Scholarship Club; Lieutenant Colonel; Midnight Blue Ribbons; School Efficiency (4); School Commendation; Red, White, and Blue (4); Honor Wreaths; Woodrow Wilson Rangers; Camp Dallas; Assistant to Attendance Office; Library Council; Linz Pins; National Honor Society; Student Council Representative.
At the University of Texas, he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha and a member of Squadron I, Air Force R. O. T. C.
His father Allen was an attorney, and his mother Verna did clerical work for the Internal Revenue Service.
Other survivors were aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. William Matlock. Funeral services were held May 5 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Dallas.
Allen is buried in Texas.
